X-mas Day!!!!!

The month of December has been a crazy busy one for us, so sorry no updates in almost a month. But MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!! Nicole had to work the 3 days before x-mas and the day after, so we celebrated early with the family in MD. And then are spending x-mas day just the 2 of us at home. It has been a nice lazy day, probably are last lazy x-mas for a LONG time.

24 weeks

24 weeks, 6 months, only 16weeks more to go.... I guess March is going to be here before we know it. Today we ordered our crib. We had been going between two different ones, but then I saw this one on sale at Babies R Us, plus I could get free shipping, and an extra $10 off. So after making Steve look at in person with me, I went ahead and ordered. It should be here by this weekend.

Not with our bedding, but the oak finish should match nicely to the dresser we already have. Now going to stalk out the price on the matching changing table, and hopefully get a good deal on that as well. Here are some new updated belly pictures. Defiantly looking pregnant, even when wearing my scrubs. Gummi bear has been very active today, but every time Steve goes to try and feel the kicking stops.

EDIT: Due to the crib going out of stock (while I was entering credit card info) we do not have this crib yet. We will be trying to order again, when/if it goes back on sale.

22 week Ultrasound

This is a week or so late, but we had our big ultrasounds back on Nov. 18th, just haven't had a chance to sit down and scan in the pictures. The baby looked great and we were able to see everything. The tech did a good job of keeping the sex of the baby hidden, though Steve tried really hard to see if he saw anything. Nicole of course was more interested in making sure all the organs were in the right place and fully intact. (which they are). Here are some of the ultrasound pictures.

Big foot
a shot of the mouth and nose (and yes it seems to have Steve's big nose). Right after this picture, the baby stuck its tongue out at us.

Week 21

Well week 21 is almost over. (change weeks on Saturdays). This is probably the first week I have felt I really look pregnant. People at work are starting to notice the little bump under the scrubs. And in real clothes you can defiantly notice I have a bump. Got to see pretty much all of the family this past weekend (though for a sad reason). It was nice to show off the little bump, as many of them had not seen me since I really started looking pregnant. Got to see friends on Sunday as well before heading back to VA.
Just one more week till the big ultrasound. Still holding to my guns and not finding out the sex of the baby. Looked ahead to see what the weather is going to be like, and it is supposed to rain that day, as it has for EVERY appointment I have had. Steve and I are trying to think of what this might mean. Ideas so far..... the baby will love the water, it is going to be a blizzard the day I deliver, or the baby will grow up to be a meteorologist.
As I have now taken to sleeping with a big body pillow, Baxter can no longer curl up to sleep with me, which means he sleeps next to Steve... Which Steve is not to happy about. Baxter has been kicked out of bed every night, only to find his way back in later. (I am sure it will only get worse as I get bigger)
Taken Wednesday night (so middle of week 21)

Week 20

We are half way there!!! At 20 weeks we have made it to the mid point. Not much going on this week, other then Nicole has another head cold. Her weekend was spent on the couch, while Steve painted the family room and kitchen. Gummi bear was quite active while Nicole rested on the couch, shouldn't be to long before Steve can feel the kicks. Here are some new belly pictures, really starting to look like a baby bump.

Week 18

Here are some more belly pictures from this past week. (Even one showing a bare belly). This past weekend we started the registering process, who knew there was so much stuff you would need for a baby. We are constantly adding more things to the registries, but they have been started at Target and Babies R Us.

Week 17 update

Had another doctor's appt today. Heartbeat sounds good, and baby seems to be growing well. Nicole started to feel little flutters this week, Steve is hoping to start feeling little kicks himself soon. Scheduled our big ultrasound for November 18th.... won't be finding out the sex, but will be able to check and make sure all the organs look good (Nicole's biggest concern). Looking forward to seeing the little gummi bear in more detail.

Here is an updated belly shot from about a week ago.

Stay tuned as we will be posting more pics as the little bump starts growing more. Nicole got her H1N1 shot yesterday, so hopefully we can make it through the rest of the pregnancy with out getting the flu and keep the little gummi bear healthy.

Getting to see our little Gummi Bear

We had our 12 week ultrasound yesterday and got to see the little one. It actually looks like a little baby, measuring about 6.6cm which is 2.5 inches from head to butt. Got to hear the heartbeat going at 158, which Steve was very amazed it was that fast. From looking at a profile shot, gummi bear has inhertied Steve's nose. Everything else looked good and right on track for a estimated delivery date of March 20th. Here is a picture from the ultrasound, and a belly shots. (and yes we are sure there is just one in there).

Heartbeat!!!!!

Went for my checkup, and the doctor was able to doppler a heartbeat. Still faint as it is early, but I heard it. So since we heard a heartbeat, and have made it this far, we decided to call the rest of the family and tell them the news. This also allows Grandma to be (Boggs), to be able to tell people... which I know she has been dying to do since she found out a month ago.
I have an ultrasound in 3 weeks, where we will be able to get a better picture of the little Gummi Bear. Can't wait to see him/her looking likea real baby!!!!!

The begining......

We are just starting on this blogging journey. Since we are expecting our first child in March, and our family and friends are not all near us, we thought this would be a great way to share the experince of pregnancy with everyone. Expect more updates as the little one grows.
